Who We Are

In short, we are The Shire of Hartstone, a medieval reinactment group down in the Southern Tier of New York, primarily based out of Livingston, Allegany, and Steuben County NY.

We play as a sub group of a larger organization known as the Society of Creative Anachronism.

The goals of the SCA are that of a family oriented, educational group interested in recreating the Middle Ages as they should have been.

The Shire of Hartstone strives to be well versed in both martial activities and the arts and sciences.

Within our group are various personas, ranging from various centuries.
